NBA Fans React To 101 Former Players Voting LeBron James As The Best Player In The League

LeBron James has been in the league for 20 years, and during his career, he has managed to stay as one of the best players in the league.

Even at 38 years old, LeBron James has shown incredible consistency in his game. A recent proof of that was when 101 former NBA players participated in a poll and voted James as still the best player in the NBA over the likes of Nikola Jokic, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant.

Upon learning this, NBA fans had mixed reactions. While some praised James for his consistency, others discredited the list for having LeBron in the first spot.

“These are actual players who have played and know the game. So I’m taking these dudes’ opinions over 98% of NBA Twitter,” a fan wrote.

“I’ll take a healthy LeBron over anybody in the Playoffs. That simple!” another fan tweeted.

“LeBron #1 in 2023 stop it,” a fan disagreed with the list.

“LeBron is still the best overall player lol, maybe I’d give it to Jokic but he’s top 2 regardless,” wrote another fan.

“They still voted LeBron as best player??? We all know that is not the case! So we should trust their opinions 100%? I realize they probably mostly voted LeBron as a sign of respect for his long time position in the league but c’mon!” another fan added.

LeBron James’ longevity is simply unmatched. Many fans may not agree with James still being the best player in the NBA, but the opinion of former NBA players certainly holds a lot of weight.

LeBron James Is Currently Injured

LeBron James is the cornerstone player for the Los Angeles Lakers. It may sound unreal, as he is 38 years old, but that’s still the case.

The Lakers are currently in the final push of the season to claim a spot in the playoffs this season. Unfortunately, they will not have James on the roster for at least a couple of weeks.

LeBron is suffering from a severe foot injury which he initially suffered in January, but he continued to play to help the Lakers improve their record. The Lakers are currently 29-33 following their most recent defeat against the Memphis Grizzlies.
