Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has been valued at a whopping €1billion [£890million] by his agent amid his stunning season.
The 22-year-old has been in sensational form since joining from Borussia Dortmund last summer, chipping in with 32 goals from 31 matches – with 26 of them coming in the Premier League.
Haaland has broken a number of Premier League records since arriving from Germany for £51million, with the youngster scoring four hat-tricks quicker than anyone else.
The ex-Red Bull Salzburg marksman has also scored 20 Premier League goals in record time – achieving the feat in just 14 outings.
And his dazzling displays has led Haaland‘s agent Rafaela Pimenta to slap a ten-figure price tag on the centre-forward.
Speaking to French channel TF1’s Telefoot programme, Pimenta – who also represents Paul Pogba, Matthijs de Ligt and Marco Verratti – stated her client is worth almost 20 times more than what City paid for him.
She said: “Erling Haaland is worth €1billion. That’s not a guess, I’m sure of it.
“They might say I’m being ridiculous, that a club is not going to pay a billion.
“But his age, his quality, his progression and the way he behaves is why I talk about a billion.
“The future is unknown but it’s coming.
“He’s so simple, not impressed with the ‘bling bling’. He eats lasagne before matches, it’s his magic formula.
“He doesn’t see himself as important. It’s the future.”
Haaland drew a rare blank in City’s 1-1 draw away at Nottingham Forest on Saturday as Pep Guardiola’s men were bumped off top spot by Arsenal.
The 2021 German Cup winner was guilty of spurning two huge chances in the second half, which ultimately proved costly as Chris Wood tapped home a late equaliser.
But he will have a chance to make up for his misses when he returns to Germany to face RB Leipzig in City’s Champions League last-16 first leg tie on Wednesday.
