When people are passing on the streets and come across homeless children and animals, they often feel sorry for them. There are so many of them along the streets, with nothing to call their own.
They fight to get their daily bread, they go to bed with no roof over their heads, and they still try to remain positive. But then, we have this story that deeply moved many internet users, and we are here to share this same story with you.
Maria Cubs is one of the occupants in the Philippines. This young lady was strolling along the streets of the city of Quezon when she happened to see something that almost made her cry.
What did she see? A little boy holding a little puppy and singing a lullaby to him.
Maria couldn’t just pass by, and she just wanted to know more. She went up to the kid to get some information about his life.
From what she found out, the little boy in question is 11 years of age and goes by the name of Rommel. The kid found himself on the streets after his mom and dad got divorced.
Rather than a comfortable warm bed, Rommel sleeps on stones, and that can be pretty uncomfortable. Maria also found out another revelation—Rommel also has an older sister, but she resides in another city.

Furthermore, the little boy’s most loved dream isn’t to return to his previous home but to have the opportunity to go to school once more!
Rommel’s life might look extremely miserable, but he isn’t the only one who’s alone on the street. The kid managed to find a little dog and named him Badji.
The little boy does his best to take care of Badji and even sings lullabies to him. On the other hand, the pup lights up the kid’s leisure time and also gives him warmth whenever he needs it.
He’s also said that the puppy protects him from children who used to bully him and steal the change he is given when he begs wealthy people walking by. The money he collects is being saved for school supplies, even though he cannot afford to go to school.
Maria Cubs was extremely moved by the touching story of this abandoned little boy and his dog. She went ahead to record the moment when Rommel sang a lullaby to his dog and posted it on her social media account.
And as you can rightly guess, the video spread across the Internet very quickly, and I mean in days, bringing forth a wide cry from the audience.
Rommel now knows that he’s no longer alone as he has a real companion who will never betray him nor lead him astray. And that is what dogs are known for – they are loyal to a fault, and we love them for it.
Rommell wants to be an actor like his hero, Tom Rodriguez. Thankfully, when Rodriguez heard about Rommell’s story he tracked the boy down and committed to financing his education, and helped the child connect with local social welfare.
