Haaland has scored 32 goals this season, with multiple records during his early spell with City. Currently, he is the EPL’s top scorer with 26 goals.
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland admits he is frustrated when his team-mates fail to read his moves in attack.
Haaland did appear bombastic, but Man City has yet to progress as a team, even though they have just displaced Arsenal from the top of the standings, in the middle of this week.
The Norwegian bomber mentioned two names that frustrated him, namely Rodri and Bernardo Silva, when he failed to score against Aston Villa last weekend.
“It’s frustrating. Either the players didn’t see me or thought it would be another good opportunity,” Haaland told Amazon Prime , Friday (17/2).
“It’s about the feeling and the connection. It’s been seven months I’ve been here, already getting to know each other a bit. It’s very detailed, we know we are good players, there are other things I can do better.”
“For me it was more about the game. I said to Rodri ‘please find me’. I said please. I also told Bernardo [Silva] to pass the ball, it didn’t happen.
“When we learn from each other properly, the ball will come. I still receive a lot of balls. We want crosses and passes all the time.”
“For me the most important thing is the chances and creating chances because it’s a big step to score a goal.”
The closest, Man City will visit the Nottingham Forest headquarters in Week 24 of the English Premier League at The City Ground, Saturday (18/2).
