Christian Pulisic has been linked with Man United, Newcastle and Arsenal as the winger faces an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge ahead of the summer window
Christian Pulisic continues to be the subject of intense speculation around his Chelsea future.
Pulisic is likely to move on come the summer with his contract entering its final year when the season finishes. The 24-year-old United States of America captain has only managed six starts this season and is currently out with a knee injury sustained in January.
Pulisic is likely to find regular game-time even more scarce than it already is because of the January arrivals of Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk. It has been reported previously that Newcastle United, Manchester United and Arsenal are all ‘aware’ of the player’s situation given he could be available for a knock-down price in the summer.
Chelsea boss Graham Potter has ruled out a Pulisic departure, saying in January that regardless of his injury the former Borussia Dortmund player would not be moving on. “No chance,” Potter said of Pulisic leaving. “There was never any consideration of anything about that anyway but he’s a couple of months.
“He’s disappointed but he’s optimistic that he can come back quicker than the two months so he’s in that phase where he’s just trying to keep his fingers crossed and hopefully his rehab goes well.” Pulisic himself said back in December on the ‘Indirect’ podcast with Fulham defender and USMN team-mate Tim Ream.
“Right now I’m absolutely back at Chelsea, focused and ready to finish the season,” Pulisic said. “But you know how things work in football… things change quickly and anything can happen.
“At the moment, I am just pushing myself in training and working at Chelsea, because that’s where I am right now.”
