“Singing in Keys That Don’t Exist”: Dwayne Johnson Takes a Hilarious Jibe at Himself Before Presenting the Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance

Dwayne Johnson made his appearance felt at Grammy Awards 2023 a few days ago. He surprised his biggest fan, Adele, and made this Grammy memorable for her. Nevertheless, DJ also presented an award and while doing the same, he took a jibe at himself. This happened when ‘The Great One’ have a brief speech.

Ahead of presenting the Best Pop Solo Performance, The Rock gave a short speech to motivate the stars. He did so by making a joke about his singing skills. The Red One actor shared the video of the same on his social media too.

The WWE legend said, “Now music has always been a huge part of my life from the great Sam Cook to Elvis to Loretto to my boy Jay-Z to Louis Armstrong to Willie Nelson, who by the way gave me my first guitar. Pretty cool though.”

Johnson further said, “These and many artists helped me to shape who I’m and influenced my own singing style which at times includes singing keys that don’t exist. (sings his song from Moana) ‘You’re welcome’.”

DJ has at least three songs in his profile which are “You’re Welcome” from Moana, “It Doesn’t Matter”(Wyclef Jean song), and his 2021 song with Tecn N9ne “Face Off”.

The Rock was glad to be a part of Grammys this year, as he stated in his speech about him and his wife being” thrilled” to be at the award show. Furthermore, he also praised all the artists for their “gift” of music.

Another gift to Adele from Dwayne Johnson

‘The Most Electrifying Man’ surprised the 34-year-old singer at the award show. However, that was the first surprise for Adele from The Rock that night. Another was receiving an award from DJ.

Further, in the video Johnson shared, we can see him saying presenting a Grammy is an “extraordinary privilege” privilege for him. He shared this award celebrating, “excellence in individual performance.”

However, he announced Adele’s name as the winner by calling her “best friend”. He said, “These are the outstanding nominees for Best Pop Solo Performance……..And the Grammy goes to….Get up here best friend Adele.”

This was indeed a night to remember for Adele as she met her favorite WWE star and Hollywood actor, The Rock. Moreover, she also received an award from Dwayne Johnson.

Additionally, this was also a major appearance of The Brahma Bull after filming Red One. He indeed made the Grammys special for all the artists present at the venue.
