On the 6th of February, fans from the USA were pleasantly surprised to see BTS’s Jimin on the front page of USA TODAY. This is the country’s most circulated newspaper, with a daily readership of nearly 3 Million people. BTS was nominated for the categories of Best Music Video – Yet to come, Best Pop Duo/Group performance – My Universe, and Album of The Year for Music of the spheres, and although they didn’t attend, when it came to reporting on the 65th Grammy night, Jimin was seen plastered on the cover page together with world stars stars Jay-Z and Adele. The paper featured the biggest stars, viral moments, best fashion, backstage interviews, and more from the event.

In line with this, it is common knowledge that Jimin is usually called the thumbnail fairy. Last year during their appearance and exciting performance at the Grammys, The Recording Academy used a Jimin-focused image as the thumbnail for the BTS “Butter” stage. Some other appearances for BTS articles and performances include those for their Billboard Award stages, Korean music show performances, The UN performance, and more.
Don’t forget to leave nice comments for Jimin on the video!

Korean media coined the term jimmerica to show the special relationship and popularity he shares in the United States of America. Aside from all his solo songs selling more than 2.2 Million units there, American media, radio stations, and TV personalities like James Corden and Jimmy Fallon have all expressed their love for him. He is also a favorite among American celebrities, singers like Boyz II Men’s Shawn Stockman, Pink Sweats, Cardi B, Meghan thee Stallion, Khalid, Citizen Queen, etc; authors Marie Lu; Journalists (Former White House correspondent Julie Mason of Alliance for Women in media (AWM) and Andrea Mitchell, Matrix Award winner for Outstanding Women in NBC News, Senior Foreign Correspondent); Film Directors Gus van Sant, actors (Jennifer Aniston, Sharon Stone, Ryan Reynolds) and this extends to his mascot Chimmy. USA TODAY has previously added “Friends” to their BTS “The essentials” playlist, and its editor Fatima Farha has shown her love for the BTS member on numerous occasions.
Likewise, “Friends” received love on the Japanese Line Music Hot100 chart, ranking second after “ON”
In the US, it was the only non-English song on MTV playlist “MUSIC YOU BLANK TO,” proving its popularity by including “Friends” along with “Filter”https://t.co/KG2DiQVwiG

The Global Boy extended his wide popularity in South Korea when on February 8, the Korean newspaper, The National Defense Daily, published a hidden object puzzle starring Jimin. This puzzle used a drawing of him inspired by his Dior W Korea outfit announcing his global brand ambassadorship. The challenge was to find 7 items, namely, nail clippers, a squid, a loach, a conch shell, a golf club, a bear, and a coat hanger.
And said, “EXCUSE TF OUT OF ME. JIMIN’S HAIR!! OMG😩🙌” as well as “Park Jimin wearing a skirt and fuzzy boots. Taking time to stop gender stereotypes. we love our king,” and “Park Jimin. That’s all. Class is dismissed.”https://t.co/WnvSnumIbw

In October of 2021, the same newspaper reported on BTS’s song “Friends,” which was written, composed, and produced by Jimin, as being included on the soundtrack for Marvel’s Eternals, mentioning that it received a great reception in Korea along with stating its achievements. Jimin has been featured in other newspapers in his Homeland, like, The JoongAng Daily and Hankyoreh, for his leading influence in globalizing K-Food e.g, Ttoekbokki. The Korea Times also mentioned spotting an “I love Jimin” sign held by South American women who sat at the front row of the AMAs in 2021, showcasing his popularity in the US.
K-media reported on Jimin’s widespread popularity in the U.S. continuously growing as he captivates American artists, writers, journalists, and more.

Fans were impressed with the puzzle as they had fun trying to solve it; they noted that Jimin has often appeared on such puzzles. A fan shared that “With you” was played by the Seattle college radios, and Jimin also appeared as a clue on The Seattle Times crossword puzzle on a question asking, what Jimin’s K-POP band was. Earlier in the April-September 2022 edition of the Korean language textbook published by Japanese broadcaster NHK, Jimin was a leading character in the book as the only member in a fictitious conversation with ARMY fans. He was also featured in the textbook when explaining the difference between Gyeongsan-do and Seoul accents.
