Hollywood superstar Margot Robbie shared some behind-the-scenes secrets when she appeared on a podcast to promote her new film Babylon, which shows her ‘snorting cocaine’ and even fighting a rattlesnake
Margot Robbie has lifted the lid on just how some raunchy nude scenes are filmed – especially when they require a bit of hair down below.
The Hollywood superstar was in Australia for the premiere of her new film, Babylon, alongside co-star Diego Calva, when she made the shocking behind-the-scenes revelation during a podcast appearance.
During a discussion about the raunchy opening sequence to her latest flick, on the Fitzy & Wippa podcast, the Aussie’s conversation quickly turned to ‘down under’.
One of the hosts of the programme mentioned how tricky it was for period filming to get females with real br*asts and pub*c h**r, when Robbie piped up with her fun fact about how it’s done.
“They have things called merkins, which is like a wig but for genitalia,” she said.
“I remember on Wolf Of Wall Street there was an entire merkin room, there was a whole room full of merkins.
“I guess people would go in and pick out, you know..
“I’m not going to go into detail but it was a fascinating, and little-known fact about the film-making industry.”
The actress has made other revelations about life behind the scenes on the Wolf of Wall Street including one incident where she was left with Leonardo DiCaprio’s electric cigarette stuck in her “butt crack”.
Robbie filmed several sex scenes with DiCaprio, and said they were the “least romantic thing to shoot”
Robbie says her humiliating blunder, in the Oscar-nominated drama with her on-screen husband, only cemented the lack of romance going on during the shoot.
Robbie added: “He probably threw it away. It was so embarrassing. So yeah, sex scenes are super sexy.”
The Aussie icon has tapped into similar debauchery for her latest project Babylon, which sees her snorting copious amounts of white powder and even wrestling a rattlesnake.
She even had to advise director Damien Chazelle to tone down the amount of cocaine used in the shoot.
She said: “I think the only note I gave Damien… obviously there’s a lot of drugs in this movie and I play a character who does tons of drugs.
“But he would have them rack up lines of coke that were just like the size of hot dogs.”
The Hollywood superstar also revealed that the fake drug used on set was actually baby laxative, vitamin powder or icing sugar.
