Maxim Australia has released its annual Hot 100 list for 2022, showcasing the most successful and beautiful women in entertainment, sport and pop culture.
While there are many predictable names on the list this year, some are a little more surprising.
Topping the list is actress Margot Robbie, 32, whose Hollywood career continues to shine ahead of the release of her latest film Babylon.
It marks a record third time that Robbie, who has starred alongside some of the most successful actors in the world, has topped the Hot 100.
Bachelor star and podcaster Abbie Chatfield, 27, lands at 10th place, a dramatic improvement from her 70th position on last year’s list.
Chatfield’s career went from strength to strength this year, having joined The Masked Singer as a judge and launched her own radio show on the Hit Network.
Today co-host Allison Langdon, 43, comes in at 91st place on the list, dropping a few positions from last year’s result of 83rd place.
The popular breakfast TV presenter is known for her on-camera charm, razor-sharp reporting skills and model looks.
Just a few positions up from Langdon is KIIS FM presenter Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, who clocked in at 85th.
She is regarded as Australia’s most successful woman in radio thanks to her 20-year run hosting Sydney’s top FM breakfast show with Kyle Sandilands.
The single mother has also expanded her repertoire in recent years by joining The Masked Singer as a judge and becoming a celebrity ambassador for weight-loss program WW.
Also included on the list is pop princess Kylie Minogue at 86th position, and actress Rebel Wilson at number 26.
Maxim’s list includes several prominent TV presenters, including The Project’s Carrie Bickmore, Georgie Tunny and Sonia Kruger.
Sports stars such as Sam Kerr, Ash Barty and Emma McKeon also feature.
There are a few unexpected names this year as well, including former AFL legend Danielle Laidley, who transitioned from male to female in 2020.
Politicians Penny Wong and Annastacia Palaszczuk are more unexpected additions, while outgoing A Current Affairs host Tracy Grimshaw is at 95th place.
Maxim editor-in-chief Santi Pintado said the 2022 list ‘continues to celebrate the outstanding women who, this year, have influenced, impressed or impacted us with their aptitude, intellect, humour, headlines, sassiness and overall mega-talents.’
