She rose to fame on long-running Australian soap opera Neighbours.
And Margot Robbie had an emotional virtual reunion with former co-stars Alan Fletcher and Jackie Woodburne this week.
The actress, 32, had to hold back her tears during the sweet moment, as the duo congratulated her on Hollywood success – but assured there would always be a place for her back on set.
Margot and her Babylon co-star Diego Calva were appearing on Heart FM with presenter Dev Griffin to discuss their new Hollywood film.
And the blonde beauty was surprised with a special message from her former co-stars, with Alan sweetly sharing that he and Jackie would be ‘first in line’ to see her new movie.
But the actor – who plays Karl Kennedy in the soap – also reminded her that she’s always got a spot on Neighbours.
‘Now, we just wanted to remind you, the Kennedy House does have a lot of bedrooms,’ began Alan.
While his on-screen wife Jackie agreed: ‘It’s huge, so if things ever go pear-shape for you over there, don’t worry, just come home. We’ll make room.’
‘You bet. We love you so much,’ sweetly concluded Alan.
The video message left Margot overwhelmed as she shared: ‘I actually could cry.
‘They are… I mean, if you’re Australian or British, iconic, iconic, you know, the TV show I worked on called ‘Neighbours’ in Australia, they’re like two of the most like, iconic characters on it. Anyways…’
She continued: ‘I don’t know how to, like convey how emotional that is. But it’s that I spent like three, like, literally, like Jackie would have me over and taught me how to like roast a chicken and feed myself.
‘And like Fletch would literally teach me how to like sort out my money and finances and like, Toadie taught me how to do my taxes. And you know, it’s just like, it’s such a family when you’re.. that so.. thank you for doing that, that’s so nice.’
Margot continued that she originally wanted to be killed off of Neighbours when leaving the show in 2011.
Sharing that they left her character open ‘just in case’, she added: ‘Do you know what, when I was finishing on Neighbours I said, “can you guys kill me off in a big dramatic death?”’
‘And they said “no, no, no just in case you need to come back on the show, if it doesn’t work out in America, we’ll keep your character alive so you can come back if you need to.” And I was like “I’m going to make it, but thank you!”’
Make it she did, as the star catapulted to fame in 2013’s Wolf Of Wall Street alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, before starring in a slew of leading roles.
